24 weeks!

(Dress) (Belt

At 6 months pregnant I am feeling really good, I can't complain. I have the occasional sleepless night or pain here and there but for the most part it has been a pretty easy road. I just wanted to talk today a little about how I have been feeling lately and I hope some of you expecting mama's can relate.

I'm a pretty easy going person I would say, but something that has been bothering me a lot while being pregnant is how a lot of people try to steal your joy. They will tell you all their horrific pregnancy stories or labor stories that just went plain wrong. I love to listen to other mothers experiences and advice because it really does help, a lot. But so many moms have told me how I'm in for "such a big surprise" and that you're "fooling yourself if you ever think you're going to sleep again!" my favorite one, "Enjoy it now because once you have kids your life is over."

My husband and I are so happy to have this baby and were talking the other day about how parents always seem to try to make being a parent seem like its a chore. I don't doubt that being a parent is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do. I for one am so extremely lucky to be having this baby, I thank God everyday that I was able to conceive a child, because a lot of people can't. If I have to wake up 10 times a night to rock him to sleep or feed him I will because thats what we signed up for. I knew what I was getting into and I know that everyones babies are different and everyone has different experiences, But I know that my God will help me through the pregnancy, labor, delivery and when we have our little miracle home with us. The reason why I'm writing this today is not to call any one out, its just simply to remind everyone, parent or not that what we take for granted every day someone else is praying every night for.
I hope you all have a great week!

Summer Makeup Must Haves

When ever the seasons change my skin does too. The summer for me is the best because my skin gets more sun and all my dark spots start to disappear. Because of my skin change I have to switch up my makeup as well. Here are some of my favorite make up products for the summer time:

Instead of a foundation I use a BB Cream. You can use BB cream as a foundation or as a a primer under your foundation. I just use it all over my face to even out my skin tone. I have tried a lot of BB creams and I've narrowed it down to my two favorites. One is more high end and the other you can pick up at you local drug store.

SMASHBOX CAMERA READY BB & MAYBELLINE DREAM FRESH 8-IN-1 BB.

After I apply my BB cream I use a concealer just to cover up any blemishes I might have. Next I use a little bronzer and blush. Then I add some mascara to top it all off. I use drug store and higher end makeup for these next steps so I will list both options below. I hope you guys like these products and are having a good week!

Laid Back Summer

Denim Dress, love this and this  // H&M Belt // White Converse // Louis Vuitton Bag vintage, love this  // Bandana (I got mine at walmart for $1) // Bathing suit top and bottom //

Its been so hot out here in New England and I am loving it! I'm definitely a summer girl and not just for the nice weather but also for the clothes. I am loving this maternity dress from ASOS. I picked it up when I first got pregnant because I figured this summer I would need some easy dresses and boy was I right! This dress is so light weight and cute without trying to hard. I paired it with a bandana and some white converses for a more laid back look because I was running around this day. And yes, that is my bathing suit underneath because I jumped right in the pool afterwards. I've been doing that a lot lately this summer, just wearing my swimsuit under everything because its so much more comfortable and easy if I want to go for a dip! Thank you guys for stopping by!

22 weeks :)

I cannot believe I am 22 weeks, time seems to be flying by and I'm really happy about that! Now that I'm getting bigger I feel the more tired I am. If I go for a walk or do too much around the house I'm instantly tired and need a nap. Its crazy! I've been spending a lot of my time just doing things I know won't be easy with a newborn, like lying by the pool and reading a lot of books I've been meaning to get to. Pregnancy has been pretty good to me so I really can't complain. I don't sleep much at night but fortunately I am able to take naps durning the day to catch up!

My husband and I went to the doctors yesterday and they told us that from now until my due date at every 4 week appointment we will get an ultra sound! I was so excited to hear that because I want to see him as much as I can to make sure he is ok. The reason my doctors are doing this is because I have a high risk pregnancy due to my type 1 diabetes. And no, I did not get diabetes from being pregnant… I found out when I was about 20 that I had type 1. I hope you guys are enjoying my weekly "bump posts". Once my nursery is 100% finished I will post pictures for you guys to see and I will include where I purchased everything! Enjoy this beautiful day/week!

Floral Kimono

Floral Kimono similar // Rag & Bone Boyfriend Jean Shorts // Michael Kors Bag // Black Tank Top // Necklace, similar // Libra Necklace //  Pandora Rings // Tory Burch Flip Flops // China Glaze Nail Polish //

Let me just start off by saying that kimonos DO NOT look appealing on a hanger. To me they look a little old lady-ish but don't let that scare you, on people they are so flattering and cute! They make any outfit appear like you put more effort into it then you most likely did! I have been obsessing over kimonos a lot since I've been pregnant. They look so cute with a casual outfit like this one or a cute sun dress or even a maxi dress. I purchased this pretty floral kimono at Tjmaxx and I am in love with it. Thank you for reading loves!

A little Romper Action

Romper Tjmaxx similar here and here // Bag Target // Wedges Francescas similar here and here // Sunglasses Michael Kors //

Okay so if you're pregnant or ever been pregnant you know that rompers/jumpsuits are not the cutest on us. They usually bunch together in all the wrong places, except for this one! I found this little gem a couple weeks ago while I was in CT at a TJmaxx there. They had so much cute things but I picked this romper  up because I noticed the drawstring was lower on this one then others I have owned. Let me just say it fits great and is so comfortable! I will link a couple below for my fellow preggos and the girls who aren't. Hope you guys are having a fabulous week, I have been relaxing by the pool because for the last couple days it has been so beautiful out!

PREGGERS

Preggers T-shirt ilyCouture // Boyfriend Jean shorts Rag&Bone  similar here // Gladiator Sandals Windsor Store // Cross body Purse Target // Michael Kors Sunglasses // Monogram Necklace // Opi Neon Nail Polish //

Ok so let me just brag about this tshirt! It is so soft and comfortable I bought another one but it says, "wifey" on it. I know so cheesy, but hey I'm a proud wife and preggo. If you guys have never checked out ily couture I suggest you do. They have really cute and unique stuff. Its not even really summer weather yet and I'm already sweating all the time so when I found these baggy boyfriend jean shorts I needed them. Its sad to say but I basically live in them. They look so cute with just about anything and finding things that look cute on me with this expanding belly is few and far between so I will take what I can get! (haha) Enjoy you day beauties!

20 weeks!

I can't believe I am half way through my pregnancy! I feel like I spent the first 20 weeks just making sure I was doing everything by the books and now I've finally been able to relax a little bit. Its crazy to see your body go through so many changes, My stomach still isn't really that hard yet so I feel like people who don't know me just think I've got a chubby mid section! (LOL) I can't wait to have a big belly! I know, I'm going to be wishing I never said that come month 9! You guys have probably noticed I've been a little lax with my outfit posts and thats just because sometimes I either forgot to take pics of what I'm wearing or I'm just plain too lazy but I'm getting better! I already have two new outfit posts coming your way this week. I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend, mine was beautiful and I spent a lot of quality time with my hubby because in a short few months our little babe will be here! Thanks for stopping by!
