Dresses in Fall

Just because the cooler months are upon us doesn't mean you can't wear a dress anymore. I picked up this one from Old Navy during the sale and I got it for so cheap! I love it + the fit is perfect. Not too tight fitting but not too baggy at the same time. I paired it with some high socks and riding boots + to cover the "belly" I got going on I put a plaid shirt around my waist + tied it. I think this is such a easy and stylist outfit for the fall and I am hoping to pick up a couple more dresses like it to wear this season. It was so warm yesterday in my area so this outfit was perfect! Hope you all are enjoying your week.

Camo + Plaid

I always used to be scared to mix patterns but as I'm becoming more "daring" I try to do it more often. My favorite mixed pattern look is plaid camo/army wear. This is an outfit I wore this week to go pick pumpkins + apples with my little family. It was the perfect outfit to wear because it was chilly outside but sunny at the same time, so I was able to stay warm with out over heating + when I got hot I just took off a layer

I just want to talk about these booties for a min.. I got them from Old Navy + I am in love with them and they are so comfortable! I did a lot of walking around this day and it was the first time I wore them + they weren't hurting my feet at all. I hope you loves had an amazing weekend + did some fun fall activities!

Finally the Cold...

The cold weather has finally hit us and I couldn't be happier. I love wearing layers and hats all the time when its cold out. This sweater, which I linked in my last post is so cozy and warm without being itchy or overly hot. I paired it with my new favorite shoes that I got from Target! (I know they resemble the Steve Madden ones but were about $20 cheaper).

Last night we had a really bad storm so my husband, Jaxon and I snuggled on the couch and watched TV. I have been trying to treasure every moment I have with my little man and my husband. I think when women have babies we forget that our husbands need attention as well. I have struggled with that a lot since I've had Jax and am just now finding a good balance between being a mom + a wife because those are two very different things and should not be grouped together.
Have a great day beauties!

Fall Workout

So now that I have been cleared by my doctor to start working out, there are no excuses I need to get it together. This week I've been trying to exercise every day (which is hard with an infant + all the rain) but I have been doing it. I have been following + purchased the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines. Check out her instagram here for some real inspiration and testimonies before you purchase + her website here. This girl is seriously amazing and breaks it down with two books, one for healthy eating and one for workouts. And the most amazing part is that she sells them as ebooks so you will always have them with you! Plus, the workouts are only 28 mins! I mean, c'mon you can't beat that + all the workouts can be done from home, which is super important to me. Don't have any motivation to work out? Well try buying some cute workout clothes to get you motivated, I know that works for me. Target has some really cheap workout stuff and here is one of the outfits I chose. Hope you guys are having a great week!

Wednesday Wishlist

Hi guys!
I just wanted to have todays post be about some affordable fall items that I have been craving or have already picked up. When I want something for my closet I always go to places like forever 21 and Target before I look at the more expensive stores. People always ask me how to find items they want without paying an arm and a leg…well above is my secret! Look into places that are cheaper, you might not be getting an item you can wear for a couple years but at the same time fashion is always changing! I hope that helps you a little bit and helps your wallet a whole lot more this fall season!

Cozy Weekend Wear

This was what I wore over the weekend because Sunday it was freezing! I realize that not everyone likes to wear jeans and isn't exactly comfortable when you are lounging around the house or running errands. One of the fashion rules I try to live by is to not wear leggings as pants, unless I have a shirt/sweater that covers my behind on. I just think it looks weird and hello! leggings are see threw people! (Not trying to offend anyone) But one of my go to outfits for the colder weather is a pair of leggins, a tshirt and a warm cozy sweater. I know as a mom this is so easy and simple for us to throw on & still look like we tried. (thats my motto lately, lol) I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Mommy Must Haves

My little Jaxon is now a month old, which I can't even believe! Time has really flown by but I am loving every second of being a mommy. Over the past month I have really been finding out what I love and what just doesn't work for me. I decide to share a couple of my favorite things over the past month that I just can't live without. I hope these things are helpful for you as they have been for me!

This thing is amazing, Jax always seems to push the pacifier out of his mouth and it wakes him up but this little monkey holds it in. They have all different animals too, love this and this.

Maxi Cosi Mico Air Carseat -
I'm in love with this car seat. It is so light weight and easy to carry.

Hands down best stroller ever!

I love this diaper bag. Its trendy and cute but practical at the same time.

Seriously the best thing I have purchased because its a mosquito net cover and then when it rains it has a cover that can be pulled out so the baby doesn't get wet. Its genius!

Aden + Anais Swaddling Cloths -
Softest and best swaddles I have, Jax loves them & seems so cozy when I wrap him up in them to go to sleep.

 Dr Brown Bottles-
When Jax was first born he had a really hard time eating because he was born early and his eating instincts were not developed. The nurses in the NICU had told us about these bottles and they are amazing. I really think that these bottles helped my baby become a better eater.

Jax has a really small head and newborn hats don't even fit him so I purchased a couple hats from this Etsy Shop (they have really cute stuff) and she actually custom made me some hats for no extra charge and I am in love with the cute designs and fit!

Summer in Fall

I don't know what is going on with this weather but I'm not hating it. My house was colder than outside yesterday and I was pretty much loving it. Don't get me wrong fall is my favorite season but I definitely miss summer weather so it was nice to get a couple warmer days this week. This outfit is pretty simple, I was sweating and running errands and going to doctor appts so I just threw shorts and a cute shirt on. I've been loving these boots, I picked them up at Target last year for like $10 and I never got a chance to wear them and I feel like I've been living in them lately.

Oh! and exciting news… Last night Jax slept through the night, a whole 7 1/2 hours! It was glorious and I didn't even wake up, I think he knew his momma and daddy needed a good nights sleep. I am so impressed with my little munchkin! Being born a month early, he is really right at the same point that other babies his age are. He is truly sent from above and I am so in love with him. Sorry I'll stop my bragging now.

Enjoy your day loves!
