How I Eat Healthy Durning Pregnancy

The number one thing I have struggled with while being pregnant was my weight. I was craving everything bad for you. You name it, I wanted it. Anything from chips to ice cream to greasy pizza. But for the first three months I was pretty sick, I woke up nauseous and went to sleep nauseous. The sight of food I couldn't even deal with so as soon as I was able to eat without wanting to toss my cookies I was all over it! Now that I'm out of my first trimester I've been craving things, nothing weird just when I want something I want it NOW! I'm going to give you some foods that are really good for you but taste good at the same time. And please if you're like me (always weighing yourself) STOP! throw away the scale now or have your hubby hide it because its not going to do anything but make you feel bad. As long as you are healthy and your doctor says everything is ok than don't sweat it.

Breakfast Options:

On the Go --> Protein Smoothie
What you will need:

Any kind of fresh fruit you like. I chose Strawberries, Blueberries and a Banana. 1/2 cup of each
Milk (Soy milk, Fat free, skim  etc.) 1/2 cup
Ice cubes 1/2 cup
Protein Powder (I use the plant protein from Whole Foods vanilla flavored) 1/2 scoop

Serving is for a single serve but you can make a bigger serving if you want to make it for a couple days.

Have more time -->  Cheesy Buffalo style Eggs with Avocado and Turkey Bacon
sometimes I make the eggs with just cheese and no Franks but whatever you prefer is fine.

What you will need:

3 Eggs
Handful of part skim cheese
Salt
Pepper
Franks Red Hot Sauce
1/2 an Avocado
2 Pieces of Turkey Bacon

I cook the bacon first and then cook the eggs. Just season the eggs with salt and pepper and when they are almost cooked just sprinkle the cheese on top. Put the bacon and eggs on the plate and then put your desired amount of buffalo sauce on top of the eggs. Then cut your avocado in half and slice it up. Ta da! You have a healthy and easy breakfast that is packed with protein.

Hope you guys enjoy these recipes and next week I will show you what I like to make for lunches and How I fight my sweet tooth cravings. xoxo, Tori
