Temps are dropping.

Hey beauties!
Sorry I was pretty MIA last week with posting. I was just getting ready for Christmas + then enjoying the holidays with my friends and family. It was Jaxon's first Christmas so it was pretty crazy with gifts for him so I felt like all last week we were opening presents... I can't complain! I hope you all had an amazing holiday! xx

On to the outfit... the temps are dropping like crazy! It hasn't really been "winter" around where I live yet. Christmas day felt like it was spring, I didn't even need a jacket. I was hoping for a white christmas but I had a great day so whatever. I'm OBSESSED with this faux fur jacket from Asos. Its an awesome price and is lined with warm stuff so its perfect for those colder days. I've been wanting these uggs for a while now and finally asked for them for Christmas this year.  They are the perfect boot and SO warm {thanks hubby!}

Thanks for stopping by!

So I guess this is considered slush but its still snow and this is the first time the snow has stuck to the ground this winter! I was so happy that the first day of winter it snowed. Hopefully this will mean we will get a white christmas! I love the snow, Its so beautiful and just makes the bareness of winter look so much prettier!

This outfit is so casual and cozy for a Sunday of watching football + hanging out with my fam! it was freezing outside this day but i weather the weather for a little to snap some pics. these boots are my go to for the winter. last year I lived in my pink hunters and this year I am going to be switching between those and these red ones. the colors are an easy way to add a pop of color to any outfit. A little Nike action.

My new thing? Wearing nike's or sneakers with a normal outfit. Why? Because it makes a dressy outfit casual by just the sneaks. I'm always running around like a nut and I feel like in flat or boots sometimes my feet kill me by the end of the day. I'm a hairdresser and when I worked in the salon I was always wearing something with a heel but once I got pregnant I didn't feel like having swollen feet all the time so I skipped the heels. Now I'm trying to train my feet back into the heels and its not easy, {LOL}. I hope you guys like this outfit + you beauties are all having a good week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Flowing Skirt.

This look is a very favorite of mine because its so classy yet so simple. I threw this outfit together in a couple mins {which is a rare thing for me}. I love wearing maxi skirts because they are so comfortable + also I may or may not be able to fit into all my pre-pregnancy pants yet, sorry not sorry. Pair a maxi dress or maxi skirt with a long sleeve shirt or sweater + some booties for an instant winter look!

If any of you have questions about making a dress work for winter just leave a comment below or email me {info in contact page}. I would be happy to help + would love to hear from you!

A little on the Tomboy side.

This look is pretty uncommon for me. Its more on the tomboy side but I'm in love with these sneakers, I mean cmon' they have fur on the inside! It was pretty nice out this weekend so I was able to dress a little on the lighter side so I chose this long cardigan {ITS ON SALE!} from urban outfitters. Everyone ALWAYS asks me where I got my jeans and I got them from pac sun a couple years ago but the thing is they weren't this destroyed when I got them. Over time the holes got bigger and I ripped a couple of them trying to step into them and putting my foot through them! {oops} They probably still have similar ones! Thanks for stopping by + I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Being Honest.

Hi friends!

This post is all about my little man, Jax. Seriously being a mom is THE best thing that has ever happened to me {aside from marrying my husband, of course} but lets be honest, along with all the amazing things that come with being a mom there are also some not so amazing things.

There are days where I am overwhelmed to the point that I break down and cry. It is not pretty, as you can imagine. There are times where I tell myself I'm not a good mom and I'm not doing a good enough job.

You go from having no sleep while you're pregnant to boom! there is a baby who needs your constant attention. They need you for everything 24/7. Then you have people swinging by your house wanting to see the baby + all you really want to do is snuggle up with your husband + baby and sleep for a week straight.

I went through so many emotions these last three months, the good, the bad and the ugly but I seem to only truly remember all the good.

Being Jaxon's mom has seriously changed the person I am. I look over at him laying beside me in my bed right now and I think to myself, "I made that and he's beautiful".  I didn't think it was even possible to love another human with the love I have for my son. Having a child is like having your heart walk around outside your body. You are always trying to protect it and keep it from harm.

So I guess the point of this post is to let all the mommy's know, that you are awesome! Don't beat yourself up if you feel overwhelmed or if you cry uncontrollably or if you can't get everything on your list done that day. Its ok! You're still a great mom! I had a really hard time with trying to be a "perfect" mom when Jax was first born. But I stopped doing that. I stopped caring if Jax was wearing socks constantly or if he had spit up on his onesie. Things just change, priorities change. Its more important to me that Jaxon knows how much my husband and I love him then having a clean house.

Some people probably don't agree but thats ok.
This is just my opinion.
Being a mom is hard.
But I wouldn't change it for the world.
Being a mom is what I am good at and its what I was meant to do.

Thanks for reading loves!

What colors should you wear this Holiday Season?

Hey Beauties!
So as I was getting ready the other morning I was thinking to myself, what is my color? As in what is my favorite color to where + what is the color that seems to look best on me. If you ask me, I would say black black black + did I mention, black. Because I am a hairstylist I think I always gravitate towards the darker colors. This season I've been trying to be more "out of the box" and go with colors I normally wouldn't wear. So I started to think, why don't I make a post about colors to wear that look good on everyone for the holidays! {boom}

So here is goes, my top 5 favorite colors that look good with any skin tone, hair color or eye color.

1. Oh Holy, WHITE.

White is such a crisp, clean and classic color. It makes anyone look glowing and beautiful. I'm thinking thats the reason every bride looks divine on her wedding day!

2. Rocking the RED.

Red is a color that I didn't think I could pull off. I would always see it on other people and think they looked awesome. So I finally decided to rock it + now its my new favorite color to wear!

3. SPARKLE is coming to town.

Ok, I know sparkle isn't technically a color, but I mean it needs to be! Its perfect for the holidays + it just adds that extra pop! to any outfit. Try it, you'll see!

4. Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree.
{GREEN}

Green is another color I wasn't too sold on but like I said about red I tried it and fell in love. Its one of those colors that just makes you feel happy + in the holiday spirit!

 5. All I want for Christmas is BLUE.

Blue is a color that everyone likes but not every one wears unless its blue jeans. This year I've been pulling out all my blue colored things and falling for them all over again! Here are a couple outfits I love using the blue theme.

Thank you guys for reading!
